Framed Fine Art Print - Naive Sheep Ewe on Pasture

This fine art print of an original folk painting by British artist Matt Rix captures the rustic charm and timeless heritage of traditional animal portraiture. Depicting a gentle ewe standing on textured green pasture, it features earthy brown fields rising behind beneath a soft dusky pink sky, with delicate white clouds adding a distinctive folk-art touch. Warm, balanced tones create a serene pastoral mood. Rix’s style lends the ewe an elongated body and slender legs, recalling the naive yet elegant works once commissioned by wealthy 18th and 19th-century owners to honour their prized livestock, while her simple, characterful features give the work a timeless rural charm.
